Vitamix the Super Champion Blender

So, many folks who are newly whole food plant-based and have never done much kitchen prep previously, wonder about small appliances they may need in the kitchen. One of those most mentioned and beloved is the Vitamix.  Is this the super champion of blenders?

Quality Craftsmanship:

Certainly, they are pricey, but they are built like tanks. Their warranties last for seven years, however, these machines can last for many decades. In fact, I have yet to find something the Vitamix cannot handle quickly and efficiently. Even peanut butter. And, bonus, Vitamix is made in America!

The Numerous Benefits:

For years, I have made my own enchilada sauce from scratch, using a variety of dried red chilis. Pre-Vitamix, I had to run the resulting sauce through layers of cheesecloth, lining a fine-mesh sieve. Now, thanks to Vitamix, that is a tiresome, messy step that I can eliminate.

In addition, I didn’t like peanut butter until I started making my own in the Vitamix. But, oh my gosh, nothing can compare to fresh peanut butter from this machine. No added salt, sugar, oil, or preservatives. Just the goodness of peanuts. There’s no oil slick floating on top of the finished product and it lasts a while in the fridge.

And margaritas? Yes, please. Quickly whip a few up; fresh citrus, tequila, and ice are all that are required. Bring out those chilled salt-rimmed glasses and you have the beginnings of a party.

Imagine the convenience of being able to create frozen desserts in the same machine that can also make hot soups! There’s a Broccoli-Cheese soup recipe in their book that is easily modified for a whole food plant-based lifestyle.

For the past decade, I have fully enjoyed my Vitamix blender and it is still going strong!  A lesser quality machine wouldn’t have lasted so long with the frequency it is used.

Where To Purchase:

In any event, those are only a few of my favorite uses for my Vitamix blender. And for those of you who have gasped at the price, well, honestly I can’t blame you. I had to save a while to buy mine.

Indeed those of you who watch QVC on a regular basis know that you can find a Vitamix at a lower price and up to six monthly payments, depending on the deal they may be running at any given time.

Likewise, some of you may have been able to find several models at killer Prime pricing on Amazon.  Congratulations! Some may be refurbished, but Vitamix is famous for the quality of its work in maintaining blenders that come to them with problems. Additionally, Costco carries a basic model in their warehouses for a reasonable price.  Right now these are on sale for $100 off through MAY 8, 2021!

In short, there are just so many reasons this Vitamix blender is a workhorse in the kitchen, and as a result, is the champion of all the blenders in my humble opinion. The sheer variety of tasks it has conquered has helped it to earn this title fairly.

For those of you who have already made this investment, what is your favorite use for the Vitamix? If you love it as much as I do, you probably use it often. What has surprised you about something you’ve made in your Vitamix?
